Transparent Toaster

This transparent toaster allows you to see the bread while it is toasting so you never surprised by toast that comes out too dark. This idea is based on the transparent heating glass featured in this issue. Although the glass does not currently get hot enough to toast bread, some day this application may be possible. The concept was developed by the Inventables Concept Studio.

Created by Lionel Poilâne, the new bread box is constructed of materials both modern and traditional : wood, industrial quality glass, unbleached linen and stainless steel. Especially conceived to keep a half loaf of Poilâne bread fresh, the new bread box also serves as a cutting board. The design helps you guide the bread knife blade and ensure even slicing, while keeping all the crumbs inside the box ! Naturally, linen was the logical choice for the bread box's cover. The embroidered cover is easy to remove for machine washing. The new Poilâne bread box is an indispensable accessory for the kitchen or breakfast table of Poilâne bread lovers. This is the coolest! Jaren Goh has created an innovative toaster design with the Rollertoaster and even the name is cool. The small footprint is a huge leap forward. We don't think it even needs the cord—have the entire device mount to a wall socket, with a hinge that allows the user to pull it down when toasting and fold it up against the wall when not in use...this would eliminate the need for counterspace (except for your plate).
